Spend three months in Spain training with Barcelona academy UE Sant Andreu and playing matches with the ESS Residency team. Train in the morning with ESS staff and at night with UE Sant Andreu academy teams. Play weekly matches against top competition in Catalonia, Spain, along with the FIT Promises Tournament, the Mediterranean International Cup (MIC), and two friendly matches during a five day tour to England.
Weekly gym sessions, video analysis, and player evaluations assure players are pushed to their best level. The work off the field is just as important, with daily study hall and three days of Spanish language courses per week.
Guided by the ESS staff throughout the three month stay, players get to live and immerse themselves in the great city of Barcelona.
The ESS Residency Program is led by UEFA Pro licensed coach Didi Rodriguez, a former player of FC Barcelona and Atletico Madrid, and a former coach at La Liga club Girona FC.
The combination of his playing resume and more than 15 years of coaching provides ESS Residency players one of the top coaches in Spain to guide them through their experience.
Along with his on-field coaching, Didi holds weekly team video analysis sessions and monthly individual player video analysis sessions.
ESS iss partnered with Apex Learning Virtual School (ALVS) to provide the highest quality American online education.
ALVS is a fully accredited online private school with certified teachers, rigorous interactive courses, and over 15 years of experience working with student-athletes. ALVS offers more NCAA-approved courses than any other online provider and has experienced academic advisors ready to work with our players to ensure they have the credits and classes needed to stay on track with their American education while in Spain.
ESS is partnered with EDIST language school to provide all players their Spanish language course three days per week. Between three classes per week and complete immersion into the language, the aim is for players to return with a grasp of Spanish and the ability to speak and communicate in a second language.

The FIT Promises tournament is held just 15 minutes from the ESS Residency and provides ESS Residency players a 1-month gauge of where they are at after their arrival to Spain. Hosting top clubs from Catalonia and around the world, FIT Promises is a perfect first tournament together after 1 month of training and friendly matches.

MIC Football is one of the most famous youth tournaments in Europe, with some of the world’s biggest clubs participating. After 3 months of preparation between working with ESS Residency Director Didi Rodriguez, training at UE Sant Andreu, playing in FIT Promises, and traveling to England, ESS Residency players get to test themselves against the very best in the world at MIC.
