Play professional academy teams from the Basque region of Spain at the ESS Cup. With the semifinals and finals at Athletic Bilbao’s Lezama training complex, American U15, U17, and U19 teams (boys and girls) play the very best in this unique tournament that immerses them into the culture of Spanish futbol. Over 11 days, play a 4-game minimum in the tournament, one friendly match and train three times, while touring the stadiums and training complexes of La Liga teams Athletic Bilbao and Real Sociedad. There is no tournament in the USA or Europe with this level of competition in every match.
Arrive at Bilbao’s Loiu Airport where an ESS guide meets you for a one-hour ride to San Sebastián. Check into your hotel and that night enjoy a welcome dinner at the clubhouse of famous Basque academy and ESS Partner Club Antiguoko KE.
Sightseeing in San Sebastián that morning and in the afternoon get on the field for training. That night team meetings and dinner in the center of San Sebastián before resting up for your first match in the ESS Cup.
Play your first two group matches in the ESS Cup against the top La Liga academies and teams from the Basque Country.
Play your final ESS Cup group match in the morning. Following lunch, enjoy the rest of the afternoon on the beaches of San Sebastian.
Visit Real Sociedad’s Zubieta training complex in the morning and head to France in the afternoon for sightseeing in Saint-Jean-de-Luz and Biarritz.
Start the day off with a tour of Real Sociedad’s Anoeta Stadium. In the afternoon, training and team meetings before dinner.
Take a morning tour of San Sebastián’s famous Old Town and in the afternoon play a friendly match.
Morning tour of San Sebastián’s “Centro” district (downtown), followed by afternoon training.
Spend the morning on the beaches of San Sebastian before heading to Bilbao to visit Athletic Bilbao’s Lazama training complex, where you’ll play your semifinal and final matches of the ESS Cup. That afternoon tour San Mames stadium and visit the Old Town of Bilbao.
Play the semifinal and final matches in the ESS Cup and that night see a La Liga match before a farewell team dinner.
Depart Bilbao’s Loiu Airport for the USA.
